The objective of the project is to promote a clearer understanding of the impact of artificial intelligence on freedom of expression and freedom of the media online and to develop policy recommendations on most effective ways to safeguard freedom of expression and media pluralism when using Al. The policy recommendations developed in the framework of the project will focus on four main thematic areas related to freedom of expression online: (a) security (b) hate speech (c) media pluralism and (d) surveillance.
